De Chinese Wouden, vrijdag 18 november: APEC, Nexperia, weekend
Deze vrijdag komt de nieuwsbrief in de Nederlandse nacht, want ’s ochtends zit ik in de trein van Groningen naar Leiden. Maar het is al ochtend in Oost-Azië, dus het mag! Reuters stelt incorrect dat de zogenaamde ‘Consensus van 1992’ tussen KMT en CCP inhoudt dat met erkent dat er één China is met verschillende interpretaties (一中各表 yī zhōng, gè biǎo). Dat is inderdaad de definitie van de KMT, maar de CCP heeft enkel het ‘één China’-deel erkend, nooit de gè biǎo.
