De Chinese Wouden, vrijdag 17 maart: China levert geweren aan Rusland, partijhervormingen
Volgens POLITICO leveren Chinese bedrijven geweren en drone-onderdelen aan Rusland. Dit is een tandje erbij in vergelijking met wat er volgens berichten eerder al geleverd zou worden. Als de bekendheid over Chinese leveranties aan Rusland concreter wordt, dan zullen de gevolgen daarvan voor de betrekkingen met Europa ook steeds concreter worden.
Na de parlementszitting die enige institutionele veranderingen door heeft gevoerd voor de Chinese staat, is het nu met een simpele aankondiging door staatspersbureau Xinhua tijd voor institutionele herschikking in het belangrijkere orgaan: de Partij. De meeste aandacht gaat uit naar de hervormingen voor de financiële sector. Dat zal ook belangrijk zijn, omdat de grotere rol voor de Partij zal helpen met het uitvoeren van de nieuwe balans die Xi Jinping zoekt tussen stabiliteit en de economie. Tegelijkertijd ben ik voor de binnenlandse politiek ook geïnteresseerd in de nieuw opgerichte Afdeling voor Sociaal Werk.
Ondertussen komen er ook een boel grote plannen uit Brussel in de openbaarheid die onze betrekkingen met China en Taiwan erg zullen gaan beïnvloeden.

Dit orgaan zal de Partij helpen dieper in de samenleving te rijken. Een enkele merkte op dat de naam overeenkomt met de voorganger van de huidige Ministry of State Security…
