Vandaag loont het om een beetje Duits te kunnen lezen. De Zwitserse krant geeft meer details over de zaak van Duitse jachtvliegers die tegen hoge betaling trainingen gaven aan Chinese luchtmacht. De Duitse RTL en ntv hebben onderzoek gedaan na signalen dat de zogenaamde politieservicestations nog altijd actief zouden zijn in Duitsland.
WSJ schrijft dat China na de Westerse sancties op Rusland in 2022 een interdepartementale werkgroep heeft opgericht om ervan te leren. Dat zou Peking van pas komen bij het neutraliseren van mogelijke sancties na een invasie van Taiwan. De groep zou Moskou regelmatig bezoeken.
SCMP bericht over een bijeenkomst in Brussel over Chinese overcapaciteit. Commissievoorzitter Von der Leyen zou een aantal experts hebben ingevlogen om na te denken over de Europese reactie. Er zou zelfs nagedacht worden over een mogelijk nieuw instrument.
